Frank Parker

Owner/Director
Frank started flying helicopters with the RNZAF in April 1971 on a Bell 47 (Sioux) ‘Basic Helicopter Conversion’. His career with the Air Force lasted 16 years where he spent most of this time flying UH-1 Hueys throughout New Zealand and postings to Asia, Egypt, Antarctica plus deployments to the Pacific and Australia. Frank was asked to do some instructional flying at Ardmore in 1987 and has been involved there ever since. He established Ardmore Helicopters in 1996 and remains actively involved with the business. Frank holds an A-Category Instructors Rating and conducts Flight Testing on behalf of CAA.

Rachael Butler

Chief Pilot
Rachael is a Commercial Pilot, A-Category Flight Instructor and General Aviation Flight Examiner. As Chief Pilot Rachael is responsible for the day to day management of Ardmore Helicopters, and providing guidance and support to all students. Rachael has been with Ardmore Helicopters for nearly 20 years and, with a strong passion for flight instruction, has a 100% flight test pass rate.

Steve Logan

Senior Pilot
Steve started helicopter training in 1995 and gaining his PPL in 1996 followed by CPL in 2004 and Instructors Rating in 2007. He has been instructing with Ardmore Helicopters since then. Steve has also trained numerous PPL, CPL and Instructor students and holds a B-Category Instructors Rating.
